The Central Park bridge is a Multicoloured rubber deck & cool colour and graphic Intervention  by Heneghan Peng Architects . The colours are inspired by the London 2012 olympic colours and the rubber surface is only temporary but made of recycled running shoes!

THE HAMMOCK HOUSE

The Hammock House
A video where you can meet all qualities that possesses the "Hammock House", named for its facade with peculiar form, function, structure and as the object of rest, whose use is so widespread in many countries of Latin America.

This house evokes the relationship with nature and the country atmosphere ideal for relaxation, rest and tranquility. The HAMMOCK HOUSE has DIVERGENT ARCHITECTURE. Professionals from Architecture Laboratory (laboratoriodearquitectura.com.py) developed this interesting proposal dubbed as Hammock House, a house of 80m2 built on a land area of 360m2.

The name of the project was given by its final shape and structural concept that stabilizes the volume, where two parallel blocks to the extreme counterbalance the ceiling as well as the the catenary curve. The mixed structure, consisting of dry and wet work, consists of two iron frames that hold a net of 10mm rods that transmit the forces (tension), diverting and anchoring to the weight of the brick walls in the form of boxes that rest on reinforced concrete, partly on the ground and partly on a cantilever bracket supported in conjunction with the tensor above. For its part, the final cover is 100% galvanized sheet attached to the network of rods and increased in weight by hanging stones.

New Model Home Design

Ron Brenner Architects recently completed drawings for a new home to be built in Lake Elmo, Minnesota.  The home will serve as a model for Norton Homes in the Tapestry at Charlotte's Grove neighborhood.

This impressive facade with curtain wall is from the S.P IBERMUTUAMUR BUILDING - Murcia (Spain). A construction that stands in all its complexity of lines on the eye. Sometimes, given its size and proximity of the spectator who contemplates it is impossible to perceive its volume, forcefulness and therefore perceive it as a symbol. A building without coats of arms, without emblematic arrogance or exorbitant budgets as a building that talks about the people who make the company and that they relate well with others who are not part of it. Buildings that, quietly, transcend, because charisma in the design is in those forms that survived their function. Hence, beyond the building's skyline symbol, the show building, the free avant-garde building, is the building that blends with the company that hosts and the surrounding environment, with the brand it represents. It is the building that never dies because it becomes an icon of popular ideology.
